I find it bewildering as to why no one will let me play my pipes in their church... The Bible tells us to make a joyful noise unto the Lord, and that's exactly what I am doing.

Ever since my early years in the Army at my PDS at Fort Bliss, TX I caught an ear for Celtic Folk music, and especially for music of the Great Highland Bagpipe. In October of 2006 I purchased my very first Gibson Bagpipe and MacCalum practice chanter. I have been learning ever since.
Having been in multiple bands including University Of Riversides Pipes & Drums under Mike Terry and Ian Whitelaw for over 5 years, doing the Highland game competitions, band and solo. In 2013 I received the honor of Grade 4 Aggregate Champion at the Vista Highland Games. In 2014 I received the Grade 3 gold medal at the Costa Mesa Scots Fest for the Piobaireachd playing The Red Hand in the MacDonald's Arms.
I currently have a blind semi-autistic student, who I am trying to raise up to competition level for the games some day. I just memorized a "holy grail" bagpipe tune Camaronian Rant and can play it semi-well on the big pipes.
I have been under such great men as Dugald MacNeil, Aaron Shaw, Bruce Hitchings, Andrew Frater, Ian Whitelaw, and Mathew Nonemacher. I always hope a little of their greatness rubs off on me and follows itself to my attentive and effective playing and musicianship.
