This, a version of "[[Andrew and His Cuttie Gun (1)]]," was printed by James Oswald in the mid-18th century, and found its way into the music manuscript collections of multi-instrumentalist John Rook (1840, Waverton, near Wigton, Cumbria) and John Roose (c. 1850, Manchester, England). The melody has similarities to (but is different from) another, older, tune published by Oswald, "[[To Danton Me]]."
