The melody appears as "[[Beer Drinker (The)]]" in [[Biography:R.M. Levey]]'s '''Dance Music of Ireland''', vol. 1, 1858, sans 'Larry', which was added at a later date. See also Aird's "[[Miss Murray’s Jig]]", perhaps a precursor tune.
