Tune Annotations:	'''RIGHT HONOURABLE LADY SALTOUN'S REEL.''' Scottish, Reel (cut time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The reel was composed by [[biography:William Christie]] (1778-1849), a dancing master, fiddler-composer, song collector and postman from Cuminestown, Aberdeenshire. Lady Saltoun was Catharine Thurlow, the spouse of Alexander Fraser, 17<sup>th</sup> Lord Saltoun, (1785-1853), a career soldier who saw honorable service in the Napoleonic Wars and the First Opium War. She was the daughter of Lord Chancellor Edward Thurlow, a Tory politician and lawyer who served under four Prime Ministers. She married Saltoun in 1815 and died in 1826 without issue.
