Composed by Kentucky mandolin player Bill Monroe, the "Father of Bluegrass." The title is not related to the "Jenny Lind" tunes associated with the mid-19th century Swedish Nightingale, although Monroe did play the familiar polka "Jenny Lind (1)" as well, albeit under the title "Heel and Toe Polka (1)."
