Contemporary fiddler-composers Robert Mackintosh's "Miss Jessy Cumming" and Duncan MacIntyre's "Miss Cumming's Strathspey" perhaps refer to the same person, and, indeed, French wrote another tune for "Miss J. Cumming's Reel".
