TRØILA KNOWE, DA. Scottish, Air (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Pat Shuldham-Shaw remarks the title may be translated as “The Knoll of the Trows” (i.e. fairies). The tune is categorized as a “Trowie tune” on Shetland. Older Shetlanders pronounced the ‘K’ in ‘’knowe’’.
