Soucy researcher Jean Duval find the first strain of "Reel des sports" similar to the second strain of the Irish reel "Bright May Morning (A)," printed by Francis O'Neill in Dance Music of Ireland (1907, No. 501)[1]. Duval also notes Jospeh Allard's "Reel du bedeauenregistré" is also very similar[2], and that the second strain of J.A. Boucher's "Reel les quatre saisons" is similar to the first strain of "Reel des sports".
