Biographical notes


Gilbert Anderson was born in 1934. He comes from a large musical family and inherited a couple of family fiddles. He was always around Métis music and continues to teach and promote fiddle and dance through the Edmonton Métis Cultural Dancers programs. He calls many of his traditional songs “Fort Edmonton” tunes. Gilbert currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta. See "Reel of Four" and "Old Reel of Eight."
