John Barrett (ca. 1674 - ca. 1735)
English composer and organist, a pupil of John Blow, who contributed some neatly turned songs to Mercurius Musicus. In 1700 he collaborated with Blow, Jeremiah Clarke, Francis Piggott, and Croft in a Choice Collection of Ayres for the Harpsichord or Spinnet. 1707?-1709?. Music master of Christ's Hospital. From 1710 through 171?. Organist of Christ Church, Newgate Street (London) and St. Mary-at-Hill, Billingsgate (London).
