Houchens recorded "Miller's Reel And Old Sport Reel" (SILVERTONE 4055-A) in 1924. Houchen's recording matches the notation of "Old Sport" in Ryan's Mammoth Collection. The tune has gained some currency among Cape Breton musicians. Massachusetts fiddler Frank Ferrel notes the tune was a favorite of Cape Breton fiddler Joe Cormier. Ferrel and J.P.
