LAMENT FOR SARSFIELD [3]. AKA and see "Sarsfield's Lamentation." Irish, Slow Air (3/4 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. O’Neill states this melody is “entirely distinct from the melody of that name in modern publications” (for which see “Lament for Sarsfield (1)”). He obtained it from The Hibernian Muse, printed in London, 1787.
