MAYFIELD. AKA and see "Chinky Pin," "My Love is but a Lassie Yet (1)." American, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. "Mayfield" is a western Kentucky name for the reel often known as "Chinky Pin" or "Chinquapin," but which also has a large number of alternate titles. Mayfield is the county seat of Graves County, western Kentucky. American versions of the tune are derivative of the Scottish reel "My Love is but a Lassie Yet (1)."
