B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Provenance unknown. Boston music publisher Elias Howe's employee, William Bradbury Ryan, included the tune (likely obtained from Howe's earlier publication) in his Ryan's Mammoth Collection (1883) under the title "Star of the East."
