DANCE HALL KATE. American, Reel or Breakdown. USA, North Dakota. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Pancerzewski learned the tune from fiddler Elvy Osborne who had learned the tune from a Mr. Oard, an older fiddler who was once a featured act with the Orpheum Circuit, a theater chain which produced shows for its theaters. Osborne had entered the date '1882' beside the tune in his notebook.
