ATLANTA SCHOTTISCHE. American, Schottische. Kentucky fiddler Darley Fulks was one of the few old-time fiddlers from that state to include schottisches in his repertoire. He did so, he told John Harrod, because once, when he was in Michigan he was asked to play a schottische and had to decline because he didn't know any. To avoid future such embarrassments he learned several schottisches, including "Atlanta Schottische."
