ST. ADELE'S REEL. AKA - "Ste Adele Reel," "St. Adelle's Reel." Canadian, Reel (whole time). G Major ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Ste Adele Reel" was in the repertoires of Manitoba Métis fiddler Andy DeJarlis as well as Down-east fiddler Don Messer, and the tune is attributed to DeJarlis on Messer's 1967 recording. Sainte-Adèle is a town in Quebec northwest of Montreal although it is not clear if the tune is named for the town. North Dakota fiddler Joe Pancerzewski learned the tune in Canada and helped popularize it in America.
