HIGHWAY TO COILSFIELD. Scottish, Reel (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. John Glen (1891) finds the earliest printing of the tune in John Riddell's 1782 collection (p. 16). Coilsfield House, an estate in the parish of Tarbolton, Ayrshire, was the home of Col. Hugh Montgomerie, 12th Earl of Eglinton.
