'''BATH MINUET [1]'''. AKA - "New Bath Minuet." English, Minuet (3/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning. AABB. "Bath Minuet [1]" was published by London publisher Robert Bremner in his '''Compleat Tutor for the Flute''' (c. 1765), actually a primer for the recorder, and in David Rutherford's '''Art of Playing the Violin''' (London, 1755). The tune was transcribed by John Ormsby (as "New Bath Minuet") in Annapolis, Maryland, dated around 1758, in a music manuscript now at the New York Public Library. See note for "Bath Medley" for more on Bath.
