BRAES OF ANGUS. AKA and see "Bridge of Anas." Scottish, Reel. The melody appears in the Gillespie Manuscript (1768), although Glen (1891) maintained the earliest printing to be in James Aird's 1782 collection (No. 154). However, Robert Bremnet's printing of the tune as "Bridge of Anas" in his 1757 Scots Reels predates them all.
