BUFF AND THE BLUE [2], THE. English, Scottish (?); Reel. England, Northumberland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. It is perhaps the "Buff and Blue" composed by Captain (Robert) Riddell (d. 1794), a Scot, which appears in John Anderson's 2nd Collection c. 1790-1794.
