ARABY'S DAUGHTER. Irish, Air (6/8 time, "with spirit"). D Major. Standard tuning. AB. "Araby's Daughter," from Lalla Rookh, was composed by George Killamark (1781-1835) with words by Thomas Moore (1779-1852), who wrote his romantic poem in 1817. The tune was used for the 1817 American song "The Old Oaken Bucket" (words by Samuel Woodworth 1785 – 1842)
