KILLAVIL JIG [1]. AKA- "Killavel Jig," "Kilavel Jig" AKA and see "Around Killavil," "Planxty Gavin," "Port Shligigh" (Sligo Jig), "Trip to Killavil (The)." Irish, Jig. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Killavil is a parish in the south of County Sligo, the birthplace of the great 20th century Irish fiddler Michael Coleman.

Source for notated version: fiddler Jimmy Murphy (b. 1938, Meelick, near Swinford, County Sligo) [Flaherty]; flute player Seamus Tansey [Bulmer & Sharpley].
