Back to Kiss Behind the Door (The)


KISS BEHIND THE DOOR, THE. AKA and see "Merry Girl (The)." Irish, Polka. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Leitrim flute player John McKenna [1] (1880-1947)recorded this tune twice for Decca records: the first time in 1934 as "Merry Girl (The)" (with banjo player Michael Gaffney), and again in 1937 as "Kiss Behind the Door" (with flute player Eddie Meehan, 1900-1940).
