LABYRINTH [1], THE. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody appears also in the music copybook of Ann Winnington, c. 1810, who lived in New York City, although she may have been British and returned to England. The melody also appears in the American publication (George) Willig's Collection of Popular Country Dances, No. 2 (Philadelphia, c. 1812).
