MISS KELLY'S FAVOURITE (Rogha Iníon Uí Cheallaigh). AKA and see "Handsome Sally (1)," “Merry Thatcher (The),” "New Potatoes (The),” "Connacht Reel (1) (The), “Through the Heather." Irish, Reel. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Breathnach (1976) says the tune is known as “Merry Thatcher (The)” in north Dublin. An untitled tune in Stanford-Petrie (914) is the same in the first part although Breathnach thinks the second part is faulty and does not relate to the tune.

Source for notated version: fiddler Mickey Doherty, 1965 (Stranorlar, Co. Donnegal, Ireland) [Breathnach].

Printed sources: Breathnach (CRÉ II), 1976; No. 235, p. 122.
