Back to Miss Kirsp’s Reel


MISS KIRSP’S REEL. English, Reel. England, Cumberland. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle. AAB. The melody appears in the 1840 music manuscript collection of Cumbrian musician John Rook (Wigton, Cumbria), about whom very little is known. The tune and title appear unique to Rook.
