LAMENT FOR SARSFIELD [3]. AKA and see "Sarsfield's Lamentation." Irish, Slow Air (3/4 time). D Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. O’Neill states this melody is “entirely distinct from the melody of that name in modern publications” (for which see “Lament for Sarsfield [1]”). He obtained it from The Hibernian Muse, printed in London, 1787.
