MISS MONCRIEFF OF PITLOWER. Scottish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Alexander Leburn (1767-1836), an amateur musician and composer from Auchtermuchty, Fife, a magistrate of the Royal Burgh. According to his obituary he was "a self taught philosopher of no mean order" with "considerable proficiency in mathematics, chemistry, astronomy and general science."
