Back to Miss McLeod's Polka

MISS McLEOD’S POLKA (Polca Iníon Mhic Leoid). Irish, Polka. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC. The third part of this polka is the familiar 1st strain of "Miss McLeod's Reel (1)."

Source for notated version: from a manuscript attributed to the Pigott family, east Kerry, written in the early 20th century in various hands. Editor Jackie Small (CRÉ V) believes it may have been copied from a printed source [Breathnach].

Printed sources: Breathnach (CRÉ V), 1999; No. 90, p. 47.
