DUCK'S EYEBALL [2]. AKA and see "Rainbow Schottische," "Right Foot, Left Foot," "Stephen Baldwin's Schottische," "Tom Bhetty's Hornpipe," "Winter('s) Night Schottische." Old-Time, Breakdown. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. This eastern Carolina flatlands regional tune bears no relation to the Luther Davis melody of the same name. Lauchlin Shaw (1912-2000), Harnett County, N.C., learned the tune from Virgil Craven, a fiddler and hammered dulcimer player from Randolph County, N.C. The first strain originally was called "Rainbow Schottische" (see note for that tune), but appears in several different tunes.
