MISS DRUMMOND OF KELTIE. Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. The melody appears in Biography:John Bowie's (1759–1815) 1789 collection. John Bowie (along with his brother Peter) was a musician from Tibbermore, Perthshire, and made his living performing, teaching, and selling music and instruments in Perth. The family home was at Huntingtower Mains, midway between the villages of Tibbermore and Huntingtower and about three miles west of Perth. See note for "Annotation:Miss Drummond's Favorite" for information on that clan.
