Loch Muich [1] is a 2 mile long lake in Aberdeenshire, located within the boundary of the Balmoral estate, the Scottish home of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The Queen built a royal bothy called Glas-allt Shiel on its banks, surrounded by a plantation of pine trees.
