Back to Admiral Rodney's Triumph
ADMIRAL RODNEY'S TRIUMPH. English, Country Dance (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The title refers to Rodney victory at the Battle of the Saintes (see Annotation:Glorious 12th of April, the Thompson's second tune commemorating the battle). "Admiral Rodney's Triumph" was also printed in Longman, Lukey, & Broderip's Bride's Favourite Collection of 200 Select Country Dances, Cotillons (c. 1776).
