LIFE WE LOVE, THE. English, Jig and Country Dance Tune. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The melody was first printed in London by James Oswald (1710-1769) in his Caledonian Pocket Companion, Book 4 (p. 27). In the index to the volume Oswald claims the tune as his.
