LOVELY JANE. Old-Time, Breakdown. USA, West Virginia. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This 'crooked' tune has one part in a major scale, the other in a modal scale. In the repertoire of the late Braxton County, West Virginia, fiddler Melvin Wine (1909-2003).
