LUCKY BLACK'S DAUGHTER. AKA and see "Foot's Vagaries," "Grant's Rant (1) (The)", "Green Grow the Rashes," "Green Grow the Rushes O," "Highland Sword Dance," "Irish Whiskey (1)," "John Black's Daughter." Scottish, Country Dance Tune (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). Better-known today as "Green Grow the Rushes O", the melody appears in the Drummond Castle Manuscript (pp. 28-29, in the possession of the Earl of Ancaster at Drummond Castle), inscribed "A Collection of Country Dances written for the use of his Grace the Duke of Perth by Dav.
