Back to Violetta Hornpipe
VIOLETTA HORNPIPE. AKA and see “City Life,” “Londonbridge Hornpipe (The),” “O’Keeffe’s Hornpipe (2),” “Showman’s Fancy.” Canadian, Scottish; Hornpipe. F Major (Cole, Craig, Kerr): D Major (Messer). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune appears in Irish collections as “Showman’s Fancy (The)” and was recorded by several Irish fiddlers in the 78 RPM era.
