BEDEAU DE l'ENFER, LE. French-Canadian, Reel. C Major/Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. A 'crooked' tune. Guy Bouchard relates the story that Landry's source, itinerant fiddler Thomas "Queteaux" Pomerleau, once had to promise a priest he would discard his fiddle in his wood stove, in order to receive absolution.
