Back to Heel and Toe Polka (5)


HEEL AND TOE POLKA [5]. English, Polka. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. This was originally the "Turkish March" from Beethoven's "The Ruins of Athens" Opus 113, a set of incidental music written in 1811 to accompany the play of that name by August von Kotzebue. It was re-published as the popular "Turkish Polka."
