MAID I NE'ER FORGOT, THE (An Cailin Do Cuimnigim I Gcomnuide). AKA and see "Gorman's Reel (4)," "Stone Ditch (The)." Irish, Reel. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Fiddler Michael Gorman, originally from County Sligo, recorded the tune in 1927. Thus it acquired the title "Gorman's" on accordion player Joe Burke and fiddler Charlie Lennon's 1983 album "Traditional Music of Ireland."
