MAISON DE GLACE, LA (The Icehouse). Canadian, Jig. Canada, Québec. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. Composed by accordion player Réjean Brunet, brother of fiddler André Brunet. The tune was composed in 1997 when Brunet was teaching at the Augusta Heritage festival in Elkins, W.Va., in a building called 'The Ice House', employed as a jam spot during the week. Brunet composed the first strain, then asked the group to complete the second strain, following his chords.
