MARMALADE POLKA. English, Polka. G Major: C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The polka has been often played in British sessions. It was popularized by the band Umps and Dumps, who found it on a tape of traditional musicians compiled by Tony Engle. There is some speculation that the tune was an adaptation by band member John Kirkpatrick of an Abingdon morris dance tune (perhaps the "Duke of Marlborough").
