UP AND DOWN OLD EAGLE CREEK. AKA and see “Washington Quadrille,” “Taylor’s Quickstep (2).” Old Time, Breakdown. USA, Kentucky. The tune was collected under this title from Owen County, Kentucky, African-American fiddler Bill Livers (recorded by John Harrod in 1977) who played it at a rather moderate pace, in dotted rhythm style.
