Back to Miss Mary Walker (of Peterhead)
MISS MARY WALKER [OF PETERHEAD]. AKA and see "Margaret Walker," "Mary Walker." Scottish, Reel. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. Composed by the great Scottish fiddler and composer J. Scott Skinner (1843-1927), the melody (as "Mary Walker") appears in his Miller o' Hirn and Scottish Violinist (1900) collections. See also versions under title "Margaret Walker" (by which title it was recorded by Belfast fiddler Seán Maguire).
