MASTER CROWLEY’s [1]. AKA and see "Bluebells (The)," "Crowley's Reel (3)," "Miss Patterson," "Miss Patterson's Slipper," "Shark's Favorite." Irish, Reel. Ireland, County Sligo. E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB (Flaherty): AABB (Cranitch). An early recorded version was from the playing of fiddler Hugh Gillespie, originally from County Donegal, who was a student of Micheal Coleman in New York. This reel was the first of two he recorded in May, 1937, under the title "Master Crowley's Reels."
