MILKMAID'S BOB, THE. AKA - "Milke-Mayd's Bobb (The)." AKA and see "Oaken Leaves (2)." English, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The melody appears in John Playford's The English Dancing Master [1] (1651), and was retained in the long-running series through the 10th edition of 1698.
