MOUNTAIN REEL [1]. Old-Time, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A rather typical version of the widespread (and international) "Miss McLeod's Reel (1)" or "Hop High Ladies" tune family. Charlie Poole and the North Carolina Ramblers recorded the tune in 1926 as "Mountain Reel" (Posey Rorer on fiddle, Poole on banjo, Roy Harvey on guitar).
