The title is given in London publishers Longman, Lukey & Broderip's Bride's Favourite Collection of 200 Select Country Dances, Cotillons (1776, part 3, p. 90), and in Charles and Samuel Thompson's Compleat Collection..., vol. 4 (1780), as "Patrick Sarsfield, or The New Lango Lee." The Thompsons published the 'other' "New Langolee (1)" in their 1780 collection as well, adding to the confusion of the names between the two tunes (both have been called 'new' or 'old') when they are referenced in that collection.
