Tune properties and standard notation
CASTLEBAR TRAVELLER, THE. AKA and see "Spence's Reel [1]," "The Showman's Reel," "The Reel of Bogie," "The West Gale," "The Yeoman's Reel," "The Laurel Bush," "The Humours of Loughrea," "Tuehey's Reel," "Lough Aisles Return," "The Gossan that beat his father." Irish, Reel. A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was recorded in 1927 as the last in a medley (along with "Dumore Lasses" and "Manchester Reel [3]") by North Galway flute player Tom Morrison (1889-1958).
